Hinaleis first Hawaii Beach Experience!!
Finally there was a day nice enough to go out to the beach with our little girl. She was pretty tired but she gave it a go anyways and didn't even cry with the water, in fact I am not sure she even realized that she was getting wet! Heres hopes for many more days like this to come!

Hinalei's 2 month, 2 week check-up!!
Today was Hinalei's 2 month, 2 week check up! She is weighing in at 13 pounds and measuring 23.5 inches!! Alright baby! The doctor once again said she is doing beautifully! Hinalei also recieved her first shots today, Daddy had to take her because mummy didn't want to see her get shot, she recieved two shots in one leg and one shot in the other leg. She was asleep because she had just been feed but she awoke and screamed at the pinch of the needle for all three shots and mummy was so glad that she waited in the hallway. Luckily when Hinalei came back to mummy she then proceeded to fall back to sleep!! Oh so cute!!! She has been given some baby tylenol to help out with the pain and lots of cuddles and kisses!!! It is not the nicest weather today in Laie and we have a flash flood warning but hopefully everything ends up being okay!!

So after a lot of thinking and searching I finally decided I wanted to cut my hair. My inspiration is taken from Jennifer Hudsons hairstyle. I love my new hairstyle!!!
How my baby does tummy time!
So this week I discovered and consequently have given up drinking caffeine because my baby will stay awake the entire day because it appears she is on a high! Stupid me discovered this after two consecutive days of a very awake baby and very tired parents. Needless to say I am all about the water now!!However this week I have also discovered that my little one is getting stronger and stronger and can now hold her head up for long periods of time, not that she will do it for any pictures.. no these next pictures make me laugh purely because only Hinalei would be put on her tummy for tummy time and fall asleep!!! So cute!!!!

Hinalei is 2 months old!!
Yes!! I can't believe that my little darling is already 2 months old, makes me think how fast she will become 2 years old, then 20 years old... NO! I don't even want to think about that time!! She is doing so well, right now I am struggling to get her to sleep through the night, the best I can do is to pacify her for a couple of hours but she knows the difference and doesn't take at all to the pacificer!! I don't mind that one bit to be honest because I don't want her to depend on anything but it would help me get some more sleep.
In celebration of her 2 months I dressed her up in pretty little dresses and took pictures. Her smiles are getting more and more prominent and I am proud that she looks so cute!! I love being a mum.
... In other news Joe finishes the Winter Semester tomorrow and has a whole 10 days off before he starts the Spring semester again!!!

WIC appointment weigh in!!!
We went to our WIC appointment today and Hinalei is now weighing in at 10 pounds 4 oz!!! She is also measuring 22 inches!! What a growing girl!!! We are both missing Nanny so much but enjoying the company of Ashevonne before she has to head back. I am finding out that it is not easy without my mum but it is exciting and makes me feel so good to take care and provide for my little girl!!! She is such a treasure!!!
1 month appointment
Baby Hinalei is doing beautiful!! She is now 8 pounds 4 oz and is measuring 21 3/4 inches!!! She is gaining weight well, sleeping beautiful and is still the happy content baby that we know! Time is winding down now for Nanny to head home and I think Hinalei can sense that especially because she also got to meet her Grandpa Savaiinaea and Aunty Ashevonne! It has been so choice having all the visitors and they will all be sorely missed as well and those who have yet to meet the little princess personally!
1 week follow up appointment and Mum and Cola Arrive
Well baby is now weighing in at 7 pounds and 19 1/2 inches. She is doing so well and latching on for breastfeeding, sleeping well and just being such a good girl for Nanny and Mummy. She loves to be cuddled and talked to and she also loves to be carried around all the time. She hates sleeping in her crib... who can blame her the thing is so big... but loves to sleep on mummy's pillow in the front on the couch! She is very sociable and loves to be in the room while everyone is talking, that is as long as they are talking about her!!!
My mum arrived on the 14th of February which was mine and Josephs 1 year anniversary. It was such a relief to see my mum especially since it had been over a year and I was already feeling so overwhelmed and we had only had the baby for a couple of days. Also their is nothing like seeing your mum after a year. It was so also so awesome to see Nicola and see how much she had matured over the year doing her certification. I loved all the advice she had to offer and how confident she was around the baby especially considering her record as a little girl always dropping the neighbours babies... lol... Mum will be here till the 14th of March and I don't even want to think about that day and Cola is here until the 28th of February.

All About Hinalei!!!
Hinalei Isabella Tuiaana Savaiinaea was born February 9th, 2009 at 5:24pm. My water broke on Sunday February 8th, 2009 in church around 3pm. We went to the Castle Medical Center arriving aroun
d 6:30pm. I was only 1cm dialated and I wasn’t ephased. They put me on pitocin to encourage my contractions, however even with the monitor it was impossible to track the contractions because they were in my lower back.

By 7am the next morning they had to switch me over to an internal monitor and after checking me I was only 2cms dialated! I was not a happy chappy but nevertheless keep a happy spirit. We walked and walked and walked the hallways to try and get things going however at 2pm that day I was only 3cms. Now approaching 24 hours since my water had broken the doctor told me that if I had not dialated to 5cms by 5pm then I would have to have a C-section to ensure I did not get an infection.
At 5:15pm I was rolled into the operating room and at 5:24pm Hinalei arrived in the world. She weighed 7 
pounds 8oz and measured at 20 inches. Joseph got to stay with Hinalei while I was wheeled into recovery. She was perfect in every way and very very beautiful!!!
We were in the hospital until Thursday, February 12th, 2009 because I unfortunately developed a infection and my blood count was very low but I was so happy to check out of that hospital…. You can only take so much of having 24hrs of nurses and I was missing my bed.
