Things I am Grateful For..

I did a post similar to this a year ago in order to prepare for General Conference. I am doing it now because I have been reflecting a lot this week or past week on things that I am grateful for.

My daughter Hinalei who reminds me each day what a special privilege it is to be a mother
Little boys because I get to have one next year
My husband for being my best friend and making me a better person every day
Hale 5 because I can grow as a person
Our home because it is our heaven on earth
Our car because magically it still runs
Friends especially friends who are their for you at a moments request
My Immediate Family
My Mother - always
Prayers because they get answered
Food because I love FOOD
My calling because it makes me appreciate those simple gospel principles
The Temple because I have missed it so much
Ultrasounds - I dunno if I could stand the wait
BYU-Hawaii for teaching me what it means to SERVE
Singing because music makes everything better
Elmos World - because it gives me little moments of peace each day
The Atonement because it means I can keep trying
The Prophet
The Gospel
Tithing
A Warm Bed
Trust
The Plan of Salvation
Modern Family - because we all need a laugh
and so much more.

May you all enjoy Thanksgiving this weekend and remember that we shouldn't look for a day to remind us to be Thankful but seek to always to "Count our many Blessings."

20 week Pregnancy Update

I am officially half way through my pregnancy, I tell you what this one seems so much faster than with Hinalei. Probably because I didn't have much else to do but countdown till she was here but with this little boy I feel like all I am doing is getting closer and closer to his birth. So how has it been going you ask?

Well I must say I have some major loves and some major dislikes of this preganancy.

Major Loves:
* Little to no morning sickness which was such a blessing especially with my job. It was so lovely not to be constantly throwing up everyday, all day for 5 months straight of my pregnancy. If this is how it will be with all my boys I will gladly have them.
* I could still eat early in the morning . See above post to clarify.
* Feeling baby kick way earlier than with Hinalei. I could feel little boy kick around 18 weeks which is early and it normally only happened when I would be lying still and then quickly turn but I could feel him kick. Now that I am at 20 weeks I was able to get Joe to feel him kick the other night. It still feels really funny, kicking is one sensation that I think is so surreal like little boy is talking to me or something.
* Shopping for little boy outfits

Major Dislikes:
* My hair is so greasy - With Hinalei I had beautiful luscious hair that I could do just about anything with. It was healthy! Now I feel like my hair is so greasy and so disgusting that I am constantly washing it and it doesn't matter - It is still gross.
* My nails are brittle - With Hinalei I had nice strong nails that never broken. Now I can just peel my nails off. So gross.
* Pimples - AHH! Like I want to say anything about this.... Again so frustrating and so gross.

Major Similarities:
* Heartburn - although this time I am not afraid to use heartburn medication to relieve my burning heart.
* Hard time getting comfortable - But then who doesn't have a hard time.
* Going to the bathroom all the time - Yeah, again who doesn't have this problem.

All in all I am so excited about little boy! I can't wait to see him and see who he looks like and how Hinalei reacts. I am jealous of all my friends who have their second already but with Thanksgiving right around the corner, then Christmas, then New Years, then my birthday, then Hinalei's birthday... well you can see how from now till April we have plenty to do!

ITS A....

So I went in for my 18 week ultrasound today to find out what we are having! I had drunk so much water before we got their that I was literally so uncomfortable! The technician told me I could go relieve myself and that only someone severely dehydrated should drink as much water as I did. haha

After what seemed like ages and ages he finally got around to telling us what we were having... OR rather showing us. It is BOY! I am so so excited! A new baby and a whole new experience dealing with a boy! We also found out that I am looking at being due more around April 3rd than April 12th so that was a nice little surprise as well! I was so very grateful to learn that he has all his vital organs and that they are growing like they should!!!

Announcing!

My bangs are back! Haha... Next week will be an even better announcement!
