Mummy: Hinalei what did you learn in church?
Hinalei: We have Easter because Jesus died!
Mummy: Good job Hinalei - Why did he die?
Hinalei: Because he was killed so the Easter bunny can bring us chocolate

Well while the reason behind the season is still a little bit out of scope I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice so that we could all return to be with Heavenly Father again. On Friday Joe and I were able to travel down to the temple and do some sessions together which we haven't done since before Rawiri was born. Joe rarely has time off on the weekends so we took advantage of the opportunity and went down on Friday as the temple kept normal hours. On Saturday we had family time together and Hinalei had another ballet class which she absolutely loved.

On Sunday after church we did an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Hinalei was gracious in leaving eggs for her brother and baby Joe shouted "WOW" every time he found one which I thought was so cute. Rawiri got a small suck on an egg but started crying straight away - too funny.

Happy Easter friends and family!

Rawiri is 5 months

Trying to stay on top of this boys information or at least trying to get his 5 month information up before he is 6 months old.

Weight: 9.3kg or 20.5lbs

He has gained an entire kilo since his last weigh in. He is still fully breastfeed eating about 6 times a day. He is still refusing to take a bottle which is a little hard at times on me but mostly keeps me in check as far as going out and doing things and making sure that he will be okay while I am gone. He now has caught up in size to baby Joes weight at the same age which is actually cool considering he came out smaller. We have tried him on solids but he will not take it as he really does not like the spoon being put in his mouth. We have tried other methods but since he still sleeps through the night on breast milk I am not to worried. I know one day he will get hungry and then we will feed him.

He has his two bottom teeth now and that is way earlier than either Hinalei or Baby Joe. He loves to grab his toes and hold onto them while on his back. He loves to roll over to his belly and can now roll from his belly to his back again. He is trying to crawl but thus far can only go backwards. He does this neat trick where he will lift up his back legs and go into the full plank position and just stay like that and then flop back down. He loves to talk especially to his sister Hinalei and she just loves it and get voice gets higher and higher as he talks back to her.

Baby Joe still loves to crush him with hugs and kisses and he still gets a little upset by it but he is big enough now that he can roll away or grab baby Joes face back. He is still a hardcore mummas boy and sometimes at night will just cry and cry if his dad is holding him while I am finishing sometime off and then as soon as I hold him he stops.

I think he looks a lot more like the Chadderton side right now especially like my dad but only time will tell. He has a super cute laugh and is so ticklish. I love to make him laugh while changing his clothes because his little body just shakes like jelly!

My Little Ballerina

Hinalei has started ballet class. She came up to me about a month ago and said that she wanted to start going to ballet class. I wasn't sure if she was really that keen but for the rest of the week she kept asking me when she could go to ballet class. Thankfully some people in my ward at church told me about a place not to far from where we lived. She started today and she absolutely loved it. It was so awesome to watch her because it was not something that I was making her do it was something that she actually wanted to do. She was very good at listening and watching the instructor.I loved how the instructor made it just a fun and like it was an adventure yet you could see the skills she was trying to incorporate. My little 4 year old seems so grown up!

Rawiri is 4 months

Weight: 8.3kgs or 18.8lbs

He is a little beast! He is so gorgeous and chubby and happy. He has such a big smile which lights up his whole face when he smiles or giggles. His laugh is infectious and makes your day. At nights he still wants to nurse for hours while he goes off to sleep. It is hard especially at an age where he could have solids but he just prefers to nurse. If I have something on at night he has to go with me or he will just cry. He has the cutest little pouty face.
