3 Months Old

Weighing in at 8kg (18 pounds) and gorgeous as ever is my little man. He is still the happy contented little boy. He loves to eat and sleep and have cuddles with anyone. He has given me a taste of sleeping through the night again with runs from 10:00pm till 5:30pm and I am getting use to it I tell you. He is good to go down by himself as long as he is swaddled and laid on his side. He will sleep in a room full of people no matter how noisy it is. He is a big time drool baby which Hinalei was not. I will probably be buying bibs this week because I am sick of changing outfits.

He loved tummy time still and also loved to play on his mat and look at his farm animals. He likes to watch the kids shows that Hinalei does. He doesn't like to be laid on his back for to long. He loves to be propped up so he can look around and also likes to be carried front facing. He is doing so well with his casts for his club feet and he will have his surgery this week then be in casts for 3 weeks after before finally going to the little shoes.

Hinalei still adores him calling him such names as "little sweetheart, darling, little man and baby brother" She loves to give him kisses and will occasionally still try and carry him although with the fact that he is half her size it is no small feat. She still gets very concerned if he is crying and no one is doing anything about it often times stroking his face and saying "Its okay baby." Sometimes if he is crying and I can't get to him that second I will tell her to sing him a song, it is pretty funny because she will sing ABC but her voice will get really high and scream like, it is like she is trying to out sing his crying sound.

I love being a mother to a boy and girl. So much to compare between the two of them and they both do have their own little personalities.

Got to love all the facials aye!

At Uncle Ricks Birthday Party. Handsome boy.
Picture of him with his animal farm play mat.
 Chilling on the couch!

All the sisterly love in the world.

My little princess :)

This little girl is such a little princess. I just love her to bits!

Oh and check out the bangs/fringe. She looks a lot like me at the same age but you can decide.

When do you talk about weight loss?

I don't know.

But I have lost 7 kg or 15 pounds in the past 7 weeks and I am really happy for it. I am no where near my goal weight YET but I have been making a lot of little goals and that seems to be the key. I am trying to get back to pre-Hinalei weight right now. I am following weight watchers. It is a really good program to use. I love the tracking system but I mostly love that you don't have to give up anything you love, you just have to control the amount you eat of whatever it is you love otherwise you might run out of points.  I have come to appreciate vegetables and fruits more as snacks (coz they are free) and I realized that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Also I know it is cliche but knowing that you have to stand on that scale each week is a good motivator especially when you have to pay for each meeting and only a dummy would pay money to be told you gained weight! I am also following this running program called couch potato to 5K. It is a really good program for someone like me who hates running  but wants to do exercise but is to poor to afford anything else. It sets you small goals per week as far as running. Right now I am doing about 2.8 km every 3 days. It seems short but I don't think I have ever committed this much to an exercise routine before and I can tell it is working. I can tell my breathing is getting better, my legs don't ache like they did in the beginning and I even increased the treadmill speed last week because I felt I was going to slow.

Anyways I just wanted to share my small accomplishment. Here is a picture of me with little boy before I started and then their is a picture from just this week. Like I said... Slow and steady.

Happy Birthday Joe - Harry Potter 7

Happy birthday to my love. We went out to Harry Potter to watch it in IMAX 3D. It is worth it at least once in your life to see a film in IMAX 3D. It was awesome. Loved the movie, loved being with my hubby alone. Felt like old times. We had homemade burgers for his birthday and cookies and cream cheese cake. It was delicious. I also booked us into a hotel for his birthday so we could have a little get away....

Pictures of the happenings....

Here are some pictures just to show you some fun that we are having here in New Zealand....

And his name shall be....

Joseph-Hall Tinirau Savaiinaea. Little Joe was blessed today in our ward here in Auckland. It was a beautiful blessing. Joseph blessed little Joe with some wonderful things. My mum recorded the blessing so we have it for our records but some of the things Joe  mentioned was for little Joe to realize his divine potential and to do all he can to serve a mission for his Heavenly Father. While Joe was giving the blessing I was a little bit teary eyed because I could see all of the things coming to pass and it made me realize how short of a time it will be before he is getting ready for a mission and getting married.

I love my little son so much. He makes me so happy. When I feed him in the early hours of the morning he is so smiley and it makes it so easy to get up and do so. He is super strong for a 2 month old, already using his hands to pull him self up.

We are currently in the Aeroview ward. It is an awesome little ward. We have a diverse range of people in our ward and they are all really friendly. In our first week we got given so many clothes from different people in the ward for Hinalei and Little Joe. I was so grateful for their help.

Joe and I have a combined calling. He is the Primary Pianist and I am the Primary Music Leader. It is an awesome calling to have. Probably my favorite so far. I have a great time thinking up new ideas for the kids each Sunday and also reviewing the old songs. We have a very interesting and fun set of kids to work with, some sing really loud, some don't sing at all so I have to be very creative. I love how you can move anywhere in the world and as long as you can find a chapel on Sunday you are able to be renewed in your faith and testimony.
